Geopolitical events led UAE residents to boycott their Big Macs, as well as other ‘American’ goods and services; we needed to prove that McDonald’s UAE truly is a UAE company, a separate entity to its American cousin. My idea? Show that the UAE’s Golden Arches has always - and continues - to be operated by people like us. Dreamers and doers who have left their homelands behind in pursuit of a better life. But don’t take it from me, hear it from them.
