Booking.com

I’ve spent most 2023 working on a creative overhaul of Booking.com’s social content. While we all love swanky hotel rooms in exotic places, generic posts about ‘views to die for’ do not generate views… but they do make consumers desire death.

This three part series promoted Booking.com’s partnership with Eurovision (and Liverpool itself). The client wanted to use an influencer.

The idea was to send an American, one who had never heard of Eurovision before. In Europe we take its weird wonderfulness for granted, so the best way to rekindle the magic is to see it afresh, through the eyes of the uninitiated.

I wrote the scripts for the episodes which the influencer approved, but of course she had license to make her own gags. The best ones are mine though ;)

Selling Sustainable Stays.

My favourite piece of work with Booking.com. We were tasked with selling their ‘Travel Sustainable Stays.’ Again, using influencers. I feel that in a world saturated with brands trying to convince us how ethical they are, we often stop listening. Instead, we chose to highlight how annoying people can be who brag about their ethical lifestyles.

Why? Because it’s funny, entertaining and therefore allows you to unashamedly plug your product in the process. I wrote this script, performed by the awesome comedian Josh Berry.

Dog Friendly Stays.

The last of my favourite pieces of content this year, is this. Who better to sell Booking’s dog friendly stays than a dog? I wrote the script, we borrowed a dog from the office and we shot this ourselves, MTV Cribs style.
